We’re taking a shift as we start this new series, from looking at who God is in Himself, to looking at who we are in Him. That the story of creation is all about God, means the story of our life is all about our relationship to God. It is our life, and it will be our stability, strength and glory if we let our identity come from Him and who He declares we are in Him.
Our relationship with God is unlike any other we’ve ever known, because God is unlike any other we’ve ever known. Only God gets to define that relationship, and we get to search out how God has described it and glory in the width, length, height and depth of His love toward us.

The second message in this series on the central place of the glory of God in the story of creation, redemption and eternity is about who Jesus is as a Merciful Redeemer. God chose to reveal Himself to humanity through the story of mercy and redemption – through the Cross. He reveals Himself as a Bridegroom God, pursuing the love of His bride because of His commitment to us.
Loving mercy is basic to entering the kingdom, and we can only do it when we encounter Jesus’ mercy toward us – He loves without demands.
