The John 17 Missions Base
As a living expression of the John 17 message, and a model for the John 17 movement, we are currently in the early stages of pioneering a missions base in Wichita, KS. The Wichita mission is based in a rehabbed home that we have affectionately named “The Father’s House” across the street from an urban high school. For more on the vision behind the Father’s House, click here.
Our vision is to see a movement of multiplication where kingdom communities on a mission of revelation spread to cities around the world. Each community will have their own unique expression based on who God has gathered to that community and what God is doing and speaking in their midst, but all with a shared heart and simple DNA.
What does kingdom community on a mission of revelation look like? EXPAND ALL
A community where the consuming passion is knowing God’s heart. MORE
We gather together because we long to see Him, hear from Him and connect with His heart. We believe all fruitfulness comes from intimacy, and we are unashamed to make intimacy the priority. We’re believing for communities where we build everything around time in His Presence and time in His Word. Communities where we prioritize conversations with God about God, and conversations with each other about God. The family of God is a community of worship, and of worshipful fellowship!
A sending community partnering with the word of God over individual lives and over cities and nations. MORE
We serve the Lord of the Harvest! He is full of plans and desires for lives and nations, and we’re praying for God to birth a community whose aim is to tune in to those plans and desires, and to partner with them. We expect God to speak about our city and about the nations, and when He does, we want to partner together with those things in prayer and in action. We also expect Him to speak and say, “Set apart so-and-so for the work to which I have called them.” It’s our joy to believe and to support what God speaks over each person’s life and to launch each other into our God-given missions!
A community where everybody has a voice. MORE
We believe God has called this to be a prophetic generation! We long to see a whole generation find their expression of God! Not just one or two speaking from the front, but a whole community passionate about the heart of God, and speaking, creating, praying, singing, and sharing the testimony of Jesus! We believe God wants to use a culture of worship, prayer, ministry to one another, holy conversations and everyday missions to promote a lifestyle where our mouths are open and our tongues are actively being used to release life and to declare the glory of God!
A community where each person is received as a good and perfect gift from the Father of Lights. MORE
Jesus’ body is a prophetic family, and that means He wants to give us eyes to see what the Father sees in each person He brings us, and to value and nurture the treasure inside of them. We’re believing for communities that practice that, not only with those who have already joined our community, but with those in the greater community around us. Jesus’ love is not just for those who love us, but for all those He sets in front of us. Like the somewhat lost concept of a parish, we believe we are called to love, shepherd and raise up, not just our congregation, but the surrounding community in which God has placed us. We need and want what they have to bring to the family of God!
An intergenerational community building a lasting legacy. MORE
We believe the kingdom is about family, and that means mothers and fathers pouring into the lives of sons and daughters, and sons and daughters helping fulfill the dreams of mothers and fathers. One of the greatest mandates of the kingdom is that “one generation declare Your works to another.” We’re believing God for a move of discipleship that reaches this largely unchurched generation. We’ve felt God say over this generation that He wants a “no child left behind” generation, and we’ve asked God to make us as zealous about every child coming to know God as we are about them learning reading, writing and arithmetic! Lets dream together that a generation will graduate high school having not just been educated, but discipled!
